About the Role As a DT Technician, your responsibilities will include: Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons across KS3–KS5 Ensuring all workshop and classroom areas comply with health and safety regulations Maintaining and testing DT equipment and machinery Supporting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and lesson preparation Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials when required Assisting students with equipment use under supervision, ensuring safe practice Maintaining accurate records of resources, consumables, and safety checks Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to an effective and efficient DT learning environment Experience and Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Have experience working in a DT or practical teaching environment Demonstrate strong organisational and technical skills Be confident in the safe use of tools, machinery, and materials Understand and implement health and safety and safeguarding requirements Be proactive, flexible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Have excellent communication and collaboration skills Why Join This School?
