Here at BCMT Autocentre we are a family run business and we are looking for a vehicle technician to come work with us. While working here you will be working on a wide range of vehicles, you will be expected to:
* Perform routine maintenance and servicing on vehicles (e.g., oil changes, brake checks, tyre rotations).
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
* Carry out repairs and replacements of vehicle components.
* Conduct road tests to verify repairs and ensure vehicle safety.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
* Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues and repair timelines.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop.
* Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Working days would be Monday to Friday 8:30am till 5pm. Additional hours may be available. Pay rate will depend on qualifications and experience and may be subject to change. You will be intitled up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
What We're Looking For:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a garage or workshop setting.
* Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-first attitude.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Mot Qualified Tester (Preferable, training can be given)
