The school delivers a personalised, EHCP-led curriculum with a strong focus on communication, independence, wellbeing and preparation for adulthood. With extensive therapy services, specialist facilities and strong family partnerships, Calthorpe provides a safe, inclusive and ambitious learning environment. About the Role We are seeking a passionate PE Teacher to deliver high-quality, inclusive Physical Education across Key Stages, adapting lessons to meet EHCP outcomes and diverse needs including ASC, SEMH and complex physical needs. You will plan, assess and differentiate learning, promote teamwork and resilience, manage behaviour positively, and work closely with support staff and therapists to ensure safe participation and meaningful progress for all pupils. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated PE lessons tailored to a wide range of abilities. Adapt activities to ensure accessibility for pupils with sensory, physical and cognitive needs. Use assessment to track progress and inform next steps aligned to EHCP targets. Promote physical wellbeing, confidence, communication and independence through sport. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral teams. Maintain high standards of behaviour through consistent, positive strategies. Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
