About this role
Trivallis is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Mechanical and/or Electrical) to perform domestic and commercial electrical works including fire emergency lighting and access control systems. The role requires a full UK driving licence and will be based in Wales, United Kingdom.
Key responsibilities
* Carry out all aspects of domestic and commercial electrical works including fire emergency lighting and access control systems.
* Work to a high standard and right first time; receive and submit work instructions using the internal electronic system.
* Review systems and processes and implement changes regularly to drive continuous improvement in line with best practice.
* Take responsibility for vehicle stock and materials levels required to undertake duties.
* Ensure work tickets are completed accurately and returned within required timescales.
* Attend training as directed and conduct daily vehicle inspections.
* Maintain the vehicle to an acceptable standard of cleanliness and store stock items safely to minimise risk of accidental damage or injury.
* Conduct property surveys/inspections and assess required works using correct SOR codes and materials.
* Perform any other duties commensurate with the post.
Required qualifications and experience
* Hold a City & Guilds 2330 installation theory practice parts 1 & 2 or equivalent EAL Level 3; City & Guilds 2382 B.S. 7671 IEE wiring regulations electrical installations (18th Edition); 2391-52 Inspection and testing qualification; and AM2 Practical assessment.
* Good understanding of Aico, Hotchiki, Advanced, Entrotec and KMS systems; able to fault‑find and repair all fire emergency lighting and access control systems.
* Experience working in a housing maintenance or construction environment.
* Trained to current health and safety regulation standards.
* Multi‑trade skills.
* Experience working in occupied properties.
* Can‑do attitude, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Take part in Trivallis out‑of‑hours call‑out rota.
* Full UK driving licence.
