Ace Grab Hire and Haulage Ltd are seeking a Transport Office Assistant to join our busy Transport Team. The successful candidate will report to the Transport and Logistics Manager and assist with the daily operations of the vehicles and materials.
The successful candidate must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have their own transport.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
* Assisting the Transport Department with tasks such as bulk bookings, adding drivers & jobs onto transport system daily.
* Creating Toolbox Talks
* Monitor and record incoming and outgoing vehicle movements via the weighbridge
* To be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Assist the Transport Manager with administration tasks relating to vehicles and compliance
* Ad hoc administration when required by other departments within the company
Essential Criteria:
* You can make quick decisions in a faced paced environment
* You are analytically minded and have strong communication skills
* You are a team player but can work independently and complete tasks unsupervised
* Your professional attitude enables you to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues
* You have excellent organisational skills and are confident at multi-tasking
* You have sound knowledge of Microsoft packages and are able to navigate new systems quickly
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience working in a busy office environment, preferably within the transport/haulage industry
* Familiar with HGV vehicles and/or aggregate materials
· Good computer skills
· Excellent attention to detail and initiative
· Good telephone manner and communication skills
SALARY IS DEPENDENT ON RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
