About The Job
Based in Trafford Park, Manchester, the role requires a diligent and committed FLT Counterbalance/Production Operative to ensure materials are correctly received, stored, and dispatched, supporting health and safety standards. Maintaining high-quality materials is vital for the company's growth.
This is a temporary to permanent position.
Duties
* Assist in the timely and accurate preparation and loading of customer orders.
* Drive and operate the FLT Counterbalance.
* Perform equipment checks and basic maintenance.
* Supervise the loading and unloading of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.
* Follow production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
* Ensure raw materials and semi-finished products are ready before production starts.
* Supervise the correct storage of finished products.
* Monitor and start production processes.
* Support daily production activities, including cleaning and calibration.
* Manage production-related administration using ERP or similar software.
* Maintain a clean and organized shop floor.
* Communicate effectively during shift changes.
* Enforce safety protocols, including the use of PPE, and set a good example for staff.
Requirements
Experience in a production environment is desirable. FLT Counterbalance Licence and experience are essential.
Shifts
Rotating shifts: 6am to 2:30pm and 9am to 6:30pm, alternating every two weeks.
Remuneration
£12.75 per hour.
