Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Children’s Residential Support Worker. This will be a long term and on-going permanent night position with flexible working hours on either a part-time or full-time basis. Full induction training will be provided working in a highly recommended residential home. The working hours are 22:15 to 07:45.
Responsibilities
* Support 12 children/young people aged 8–18 in a residential setting.
* Apply experience with challenging behaviour and special education needs, including autism and non-verbal communication, to support daily living, safety and well-being.
Qualifications and requirements
* Qualified in Health and Social Care (Children's) at minimum Level 2 or an equivalent qualification; preferably working towards Level 3.
* Minimum Level 2 in Safeguarding for Children.
* Proven experience of challenging behaviour and special education needs (incl. autism and non-verbal communication).
* Must have right to work in the UK; we do not offer sponsorship.
* Five years minimum referencing; fully enhanced DBS on the update service with no gaps to meet Ofsted compliance requirements.
Training and start date
This position will commence asap and include full training and induction, which will be paid for and completed on site at the residential home and will include days as well as nights training.

Location and transport
There are good public transport links to the residential home by train and bus, if required.
