An ambitious and inclusive Multi-Academy Trust is currently looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join one of its successful schools on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about inclusion and committed to improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs.

About the Role
As SENCO, you will take responsibility for coordinating and developing the school's SEND provision, ensuring that all pupils receive the support they need to thrive both academically and personally. You will work closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, families, and external agencies to maintain high standards of inclusive practice throughout the school.
Responsibilities
* Managing and developing effective SEND provision across the school
* Supporting teachers in delivering inclusive and adaptive teaching strategies
* Coordinating EHCP applications, reviews, and interventions
* Monitoring progress and attainment of students with SEND
* Liaising with parents, carers, and outside professionals
* Maintaining accurate SEND records and ensuring statutory compliance
* Contributing to whole-school improvement and inclusion strategies
* Providing guidance and training to colleagues where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* SENCO qualification or willingness to undertake the National Award for SEN Coordination
* Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
* Strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
* A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting young people
