Your new role
For your new role as an ECT for KS2, you will need to be available to start in September 2025, 5 days a week and be based in the Solihull area. The perfect candidate role will look like:
* Being able to follow the school's behaviour policy
* Having a strong grasp and understanding of the School KS2 curriculum
* Planning, preparation and marking
* Assess and monitor pupil progress
* Create a positive and engaging learning environment
* Relevant qualifications such as QTS, PGCE, or ECT.
* Have good communication with staff, students and parents
* Participate in staff meetings, inset days and school events
What you'll need to succeed in this role:
To be successful in the role, it is essential that you have a confident grasp and understanding of the school's KS2 curriculum and offer tailored support to each child to ensure they are making the correct progress and are on track. It is crucial that you create a calming and inclusive learning environment, where every child feels valued and motivated to achieve their best and reach their full potential. It is essential that there is clear and open communication with staff, students and parents, as well as adhering to the school's behaviour and maintaining the school's high expectations.You'll need to plan and deliver stimulating lessons, stay on top of marking and assessments, and ensure each child gets tailored support to ensure they are making consistent academic progress. A flexible, proactive and passionate teaching approach is crucial to ensuring that the needs of each pupil are met.
