About the Role
ID Card Centre is looking for a commercially minded SEO Executive to join our growing marketing team. This role will support the Ecommerce & Website Manager with the day-to-day delivery and implementation of the wider SEO strategy across the business.
As part of the marketing team, you'll conduct regular audits, keyword research, on-page optimisation, and content improvements that drive revenue and organic traffic growth. As you develop in the role, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of SEO projects and campaigns independently across a group of six B2B ecommerce websites.
Key Responsibilities
Support and implement SEO strategies that directly drive revenue, conversions, and qualified traffic across ID Card Centre's B2B ecommerce websites.
Run regular technical audits and support CMS maintenance within OpenCart to ensure sites are crawlable, indexable, fast, and commercially optimised.
Conduct intent-led keyword research and mapping to prioritise high-impact product, category, and landing page opportunities.
Optimise on-page elements including metadata, content, internal linking, and site structure, with a clear focus on improving revenue, conversion rates, and traffic.
Use tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, NeuronWriter, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console to identify opportunities and inform optimisation.
Collaborate with wider teams to align SEO with CRM marketing and link-building activity.
Role Specifics
Prioritising SEO activity based on revenue impact rather than traffic volume.
Working closely with the Ecommerce & Website Manager on technical improvement, implementation and CMS optimisation within OpenCart.
Supporting ecommerce growth by targeting high-intent keywords and bottom-of-funnel opportunities.
Creating SEO and LLM-friendly content briefs to support content production and ongoing optimisation.
Skills and Experience
2–3 years' experience in an SEO Executive role or similar position
Experience working within ecommerce and/or B2B environments
Proven ability to deliver SEO activity that contributes to revenue and conversion growth.
Strong understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO, and commercial keyword targeting for ecommerce.
Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and NeuronWriter (or similar platforms).
Comfortable identifying issues, challenging assumptions where needed, and providing solutions or alternative viewpoints.
Strong copywriting skills with high attention to detail.
Analytical and commercially aware, with the ability to prioritise tasks based on business impact.
Proactive, positive attitude with a genuine passion for SEO and continuous improvement.
Bonus: familiarity with OpenCart would be advantageous but not essential.
