Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brentwood is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in helping children with additional needs reach their full potential in a supportive and nurturing school environment. About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils requiring additional support, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and engage positively with school life. Working alongside class teachers, the SENCO, and wider support staff, you will provide tailored support to meet individual learning and emotional needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. No two days are the same, making this an incredibly rewarding role for someone who enjoys building relationships and celebrating progress, no matter how big or small. Key Responsibilities Supporting pupils with additional learning needs within the classroom Providing 1:1 and small group support where required Helping pupils access learning activities and remain engaged Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour Supporting pupils' social and emotional development Working collaboratively with teachers and the SEN team Assisting with classroom preparation and daily routines Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment What We're Looking For Experience working with children, ideally within a school, childcare, or SEN setting A patient, nurturing, and positive approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Ability to work effectively as part of a team A proactive and flexible attitude Why Apply?
