Job Title: Security Officer\n\nLocation: Ealing, W5 2HL (Hybrid working available)\n\nHourly rate £16.08 PAYE / £21.20 Umbrella per hour\n\nContract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)\n\nWorking Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours (7am - 11pm, Shift Basis)\n\nASAP Start\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAre you a vigilant, customer-focused professional with a passion for safety and security? Ealing Council is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our Corporate Facilities team. You'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and service users across our corporate estate.\n\nThis is more than just a security role - it's about being the face of safety, responding to incidents, and ensuring peace of mind during out-of-hours operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide a visible and professional security presence at Perceval House and other council sites.\nConduct internal and external patrols, monitor security systems, and control building access.\nRespond to alarm activations and emergency incidents across multiple locations.\nMaintain accurate logs, reports, and ensure all equipment is operational.\nAct as a First Aider and support emergency evacuations.\nDeliver excellent customer service and uphold council values at all times.What We're Looking For\n\nSIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)\nExperience in alarm response and lone working\nStrong communication and conflict resolution skills\nAbility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays (Rota basis)\nBasic IT skills (Outlook, Word, Explorer)\nA flexible, proactive, and professional approachDesirable (Training Provided if Needed)\n\nHSE First Aid Certificate\nMaybo Conflict Resolution Training\nSIA Public Space Surveillance Licence (for CCTV access)Why Join Us?\n\nBe part of a supportive and professional team\nOpportunities for training and development\nMake a real difference in your community\nWork in a dynamic and varied environment \n\nAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
