This role is essential to ensuring that surfaces are appropriately prepped for painting and spraying, which is critical to maintaining the high-quality standards of our client's marine craft.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking
* Ensuring all surfaces are free from defects before painting begins
* Maintaining a clean and organised work space
* Adhering to health and safety regulations while handling materials and equipment
* Collaborating with the painting team to ensure smooth work flow
Job Requirements:
* Experience in paint preparation, ideally within the marine industry
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
* Knowledge of health and safety practices related to paint prepping
* Good communication skills
* Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job
Contract Details:
* Contract duration: Initial 2 months
* Hourly rate: Dependant on experience (c. 15.50- 17/h PAYE plus holiday pay)
* 42 hour standard week
* Based in a state of the art all weather build and repair facility
