We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role Senior Investment Operations Manager.
Role description:
To lead a team responsible for managing the investment accounting and administration processes for INGB. To manage fund investment financial reporting processes, covering HSBC Group reporting and internal reporting. To manage relationships and monitor performance of third-party outsourcers in respect of the unit-linked fund operations (pricing agent, custodian, fund managers etc). To develop accounting and reporting processes as necessary. To provide support and advice on investment accounting implications of product or system changes. Develop and maintain processes for the investment and reporting of shareholders fund holdings, including the investment strategy, mandates and Volcker compliance. To provide project support for Fund transitions/re-organisations.
Knowledge and experience:

o In depth knowledge of investment accounting principles
o In depth knowledge of Investment Operations including Unit Pricing, Box Management and Valuation processes
o In depth knowledge of the financial services statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
o In depth knowledge of financial control principles
o Evidence of successfully leading and managing an investment accounting team.
o Detailed knowledge of accounting within the life and pensions fund environment
o High level of technical investment accounting
o Strong problem solving and analytical skills
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate well with all levels of staff, including senior and/or executive management. This should include evidence of influencing skills, required to ensure effective decision-making.
o Self-confidence and credibility to represent the department.
o Self-motivated and capable of working effectively as part of a team as well as leading and monitoring a team.
