Job summary
Care Plus Group (CPG) works in partnership with Navigo to deliver Neurodiversity Services for people with Learning Disabilities and Autistic people within North East Lincolnshire and across the Humber TCP. These Services aim to meet the unique needs of these populations through a Psychology‑led, Multi‑Disciplinary, needs‑led, person‑centred approach.

Role and responsibilities
Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist – Community Learning Disability Team. 37.5 hrs a week, Monday‑Friday. Part‑time considered. Salary range £45,486‑£52,434 pro‑rata. As Lead OT you will support people to live enriched and independent lives, delivering health promotion groups, road safety, daily living activities, mobility improvement, finance and relationship goals, and housing support. You will work closely with GP’s, practice nurses, hospital staff and other agencies to reduce inequalities.
You will collaborate with colleagues across services, develop your own skills and those of colleagues, manage your diary, and adapt and be flexible to meet service needs. If you do not meet all essential criteria but have relevant experience, please apply – we can support suitable candidates.
Qualifications and experience
* Qualified Occupational Therapist (Degree/Diploma)
* HCPC registered
* Relevant Master’s degree or equivalent experience
* Significant post‑graduate experience in relevant specialist area(s)
* In‑depth knowledge of research and policies relating to the specialist area
* Excellent clinical reasoning for complex cases
* Well‑established knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic interventions
* Excellent organisational skills, experience of appraising others and presenting, and clinical education
Key skills and knowledge
* Manage a complex caseload effectively
* Lead and allocate work to a team
* Knowledge of MCA and best‑interest procedures
* Address staffing issues; effective team member; proven leadership skills
* Highly developed interpersonal skills: observation, listening, empathy
* Analyse complex information and problem‑solve
* Present complex information verbally and written appropriately
* Effective IT: M365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
* Accurate, concise record keeping
* Knowledge of wider issues in the field
* Self‑reliant, autonomous practitioner; highly self‑motivated
* Motivate others, including patients and team members
Desirable qualifications and experience
* Relevant accredited courses, Clinical Supervisor accreditation, RCOT membership
* Experience managing staff and other resources; relevant management courses
* Experience across several specialist areas of work
Other essential requirements
* Willingness to work flexibly
* Ability to move, handle safely; maintain moderate physical effort
* Transport self and equipment in North East Lincolnshire
