Senior Radiographer
Overview
Senior Radiographer at The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, part of Circle Health Group. Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent position with a competitive salary.
Duties
* Engage in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a high‑quality service to all patients and visitors.
* Carry out general and specialized radiographic procedures within your scope of competence, meeting high technical and quality standards; assess patients and determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
* Perform imaging examinations in line with departmental procedures and policies, using techniques that minimize radiation dose while producing diagnostic images of high quality.
* Practice good radiation protection and safety, observing local rules and systems of work.
* Comply with departmental IRMER and Radiation Safety Policies & Procedures.
* Participate in supervision, training and peer review within your area of competence.
* Charge for all Imaging services in line with Charging Guidelines and fulfill billing requirements of the hospital.
* Adhere to imaging department radiation policies, SOPs and WIs.
* Complete all mandatory training.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working in the acute healthcare sector.
* Experience as Radiation Protection Supervisor and Quality Assurance Lead.
* Prior interventional radiology experience.
* Customer–service experience, including dealing with challenging situations.
* Capability to undertake IV contrast injections.
* A degree or diploma in diagnostic radiography.
* HCPC registration.
* General radiographic background with proven CT experience.
* Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems.
* Knowledge of healthcare sector systems and processes.
* Knowledge of the College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct/Accountability.
* Knowledge of radiation regulations.
* Completion of an approved cannulation course.
* Completion of Circle Health Group PGD training and compliance with the associated PGD.
