Job Summary
We are looking for a Band 7 Senior Nurse to provide clinical leadership, treatment and therapy with a clear focus on clinical risk and its management. The successful candidate will need to influence, lead and motivate staff at all levels within the clinical environment to deliver high quality care according to Trust values, to provide expertise, support and advice regarding all aspects of clinical care including implementing evidence based best practice.
Working with people with an eating disorder can be both challenging and rewarding and we are looking for a Senior Nurse who will support the Clinical Team Manager and staff to deliver safe and high-quality care for this complex patient group. This is an exciting time for our Adult Eating Disorder Service as we participate in regional pilot projects and develop new pathways.
Details
This role is offered on a permanent basis with potential flexibility in working hours and some remote working. Base locations are Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich, with expectation to work across both areas. The post holder will be an experienced Eating Disorder practitioner who, within professional boundaries, will provide care for adult service users with eating disorders and contribute to day-to-day clinical and operational management of the Adult Eating Disorders Team.
Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 per year gross per annum/pro rata. Contract: Permanent. Working pattern: Full-time, Flexible working. Job locations: G Block, Hospital Road Site, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3NR.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide advice and leadership to clinical staff in areas related to clinical care including treatment, therapy and clinical risk assessment and management
* Oversight of physical health monitoring clinics
* Facilitate and consult in relation to acute hospital admissions within MEED Guidelines
* Provide consultation support and supervision to teams on issues relating to nursing practice
* Be a role model in initiating, facilitating and promoting excellence in Evidence Based Nursing Practice
* Work with the clinical care team and governance/research departments to utilise information and data to support implementation and embedding of best practice
* Develop processes and systems to share learning from local and national research and guidance
* Ensure learning is embedded and sustained in clinical services
* Provide caseload management supervision to junior staff and assist with supervision of peers when requested
Qualifications
Essential
* RMN or equivalent professional qualification
* Post-registration qualification (e.g., EMDR/DBT/CBTe/MANTRA/SSCM or equivalent relevant training)
Experience
* Extensive post-registration experience in this clinical area
* Extensive experience of practice within clinical area with a proven track record in delivering high quality care
Other
* Ability to travel independently between Trust sites during the course of a working day
