As a Social Worker in the Community Eating Disorder Service, you will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality social care services to adults of all ages experiencing eating disorders or dual diagnoses. The core responsibilities include assessment, care planning, and coordination of care from a social perspective for adults accessing the service. You will deliver recovery-focused care and support to service users and their carers, emphasizing principles of choice, control, independence, and safety.
You will manage a caseload of adults with moderate to severe eating disorders and social care needs. Maintaining reflection on your practice development and ensuring your continuing professional development aligns with Social Work England standards are essential.
You will support on-duty activities by triaging referrals, completing initial assessments, and assisting with managing allocated tasks within the team. You should be prepared to undertake training related to eating disorders and their impact on service users.
