With our first fund we have built a portfolio of 19 companies commercialising innovations in the power, transport, industry, buildings, circular economy and agrifood sectors. We invest primarily at Series A with the aim of building a balanced portfolio of hardware, software and business model innovations.

We are seeking a Fund Accountant to join our growing team in our London Office. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of venture capital, while developing technical skills and deepening your understanding of fund operations. You'll be part of a collaborative environment where learning and growth are actively supported.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Maintaining the general ledger and preparing periodic financial statements for venture capital funds.
* Developing and managing budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
* Assisting in capital call and distribution processes, including investor allocations and notices.
* Reconciling bank accounts, investment activity, and fund expenses.
* Preparing quarterly and annual investor reports, including waterfall calculations and performance metrics.
* Supporting audit and tax preparation processes by coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
* Ensuring compliance with fund agreements, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, including preparing FCA returns.
* Tracking portfolio company valuations and updating internal systems accordingly.
* Collaborating with the investment team to understand deal structures and fund flows.
* Assisting in onboarding new funds and investors, including setting up accounting systems and processes.
The individual is likely to be someone with around 1-4 years' relevant experience. We are looking for someone who is driven, collaborative and mission-aligned and brings attention to detail and fund accounting experience.
What we're looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* 1–4 years of experience in fund accounting, ideally within venture capital, private equity, fund administration or Big 4 accounting firms.
* Strong understanding of partnership accounting and fund structures.
* Excellent in MS Excel and Proficient in Xero with strong communication and analytical abilities.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will become a full-time employee reporting directly to the CFO.
