Reports To: Compliance Supervisor
Location: Southend and surrounding areas (within 30 minutes radius)
Salary: £23,869 – £25,734 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 10 hour shifts (nights)
Our client has been a market leader in the compliance industry for over 40 years. This Duct Cleaning Operative role offers an opportunity to join an experienced and passionate team of product and service specialists across all aspects of ventilation and grease hygiene, including TR19 Grease Compliance Cleaning to the public sector, utility companies, industrial, commercial and retail clients.
Responsibilities
To ensure that all Environmental Hygiene Cleaning Contracts assigned are completed on time, to the required standard and specification, and to the satisfaction of the customer.
Main Areas of Work
* General Ventilation Cleaning
* Water Tank Cleaning, Coating and Refurbishment
* Kitchen Extract Fire Safety Cleaning
Key Performance Indicators
* Attendance: 100% attendance to all jobs is expected.
* No aborted calls, other than those outside of the operative’s influence.
* No RIDDOR incidents.
* No vehicle accidents, if the operative is the designated driver for the team.
Job Specific Functions
* Ensure work is carried out with due regard to customers, statutory and company H&S regulations, both on site and at the depot, by following H&S procedures (particularly chemical storage where applicable), wearing correct protective clothing, maintaining good housekeeping and complying with Acts and procedures.
* Ensure work is carried out to the required standard/specification, in accordance with training received and skills acquired.
* Represent the Company on site and promote a professional image at all times.
* Assist with on‑the‑job training of new operatives and temporary labour, where used, in conjunction with the Compliance Supervisor.
* Compliance Supervisor is available daily for urgent problems, site discussions, progress advice and priority setting.
* Ensure all general individual and team specialised equipment boxes are kept serviceable; report any unserviceable or deficient equipment to the Compliance Supervisor.
* Act in accordance with the Company Code of Conduct (Ref: POL037) at all times.
Resources Requirements
* On‑the‑job training (internal and external) given as standard.
* Health and Safety training as required.
* BESA Grease Hygiene Technician training.
Quality and Environmental Responsibilities
* Ensure company processes and procedures are followed and that customers receive a quality service.
* Familiarise yourself and comply with all relevant sections of the Companies Environmental Policy.
