Overview
We are working on behalf of our consulting partner who is supporting an asset management client on a change and transformation initiative within Transfer Agency operations. We are seeking an experienced Transfer Agency Business Analyst to join the delivery team on a 6‑month contract, working closely with the end client’s operational and technology stakeholders.
The role will focus on analysing current-state TA processes, supporting change initiatives, and ensuring clear, well-documented requirements and outcomes across business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a Business Analyst within Transfer Agency change initiatives (operations, technology or regulatory driven)
Elicit, analyse and document business requirements using appropriate BA techniques
Map and document end-to-end Transfer Agency processes ( dealing, registration, distributions, AML/KYC, pricing, settlements)
Support process optimisation, target operating model design and gap analysis
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews and working sessions
Produce standard BA artefacts such as:
1. Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
2. Functional Requirements / User Stories
3. Process flows and swimlane diagrams
4. Use cases and impact assessments
5. Work closely with technology teams, vendors and operations to support solution design and delivery
6. Support UAT planning, execution and defect triage where required
7. Provide regular status updates and contribute to governance and reporting
Required Skills & Experience
8. Proven Experience as a Business Analyst within Transfer Agency (asset management context is essential)
9. Strong understanding of TA functions and operating models
10. Experience working on change programmes within asset or wealth management
11. Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
12. Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
13. Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments preferred
14. Comfortable working onsite with clients as part of a hybrid delivery model
Desirable
15. Experience working with TA platforms or service providers
16. Knowledge of regulatory or operational change within asset management
17. Prior Experience working with consulting firms or financial services transformations
