Job Description:
Head of Hospitality at Grappenhall Manor Care Centre - a full-time, permanent position in Warrington, Cheshire. Our purpose-built 70-bed care home provides residential, nursing, and dementia care, emphasizing safety, comfort, and wellbeing. We invest in the latest technology and offer engaging activities to enhance residents' quality of life. All staff are carefully selected, trained, and paid at or above the national living wage.
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Head of Hospitality to lead our hospitality team. Responsibilities include organizing dining services, managing team rotas, training, and supervision, ensuring a smooth dining experience for residents. The role involves overseeing dining room setup, cleanliness, meal service, and adherence to hygiene standards. The position offers a 40-hour week at £12.44/hour, with shifts from 8:00 to 19:00, including alternate weekends.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Ensure high standards of hospitality service.
2. Support and assist visitors.
3. Communicate resident requirements to the Chef.
4. Follow cleaning schedules and HACCP procedures.
5. Adhere to training protocols.
6. Maintain accurate records (e.g., cleaning schedules, fridge temperatures, HACCP paperwork).
7. Manage and supervise the hospitality team, ensuring quality service.
8. Coach and develop staff.
9. Promote safeguarding and welfare of residents and staff.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experience as a Dining or Restaurant Supervisor.
2. Desirable: experience in a care setting.
3. Effective communication skills.
4. Participation in home-organized activities.
