The Barbican Centre is currently recruiting a Communications Assistant to join their Music Communications team for a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is full-time, with a salary starting at £30,180 per annum, inclusive of LondonWeighting.
The successful candidate will be tasked with providing administrative support within a bustling environment, ideally bringing previous experience from a music or arts setting. Proficient copywriting, verbal communication, and computer skills are essential, alongside a genuine passion for music across variousgenres.
Responsibilities in this role include handling general press enquiries, maintaining office systems, liaising with external parties such as artists’ agents and PR agencies, and assisting with financial administration. Exceptional planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks, arecrucial.
