Waste Transfer Station Supervisor
Salary: £35,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, between 6am - 6pm
Location: Poole, BH16 6LT

What you'll be doing;
Leading People:
Training, developing, and empowering your team to perform at their best
Championing a proactive safety culture and leading by example
Managing contractors, site inductions, and visitor hosting
Conducting daily/weekly plant, equipment, and permit checks
Delivering for Customers:
Maintaining and improving operational excellence across the site
Identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement
Ensuring compliance with Environmental Permit requirements, ISO standards, and VMR toolkit standards
Driving Sustainability:
Managing emergency and abnormal situations including environmental incidents and spillages
Assisting with waste returns, annual reports, and emissions reporting
Achieving agreed operational targets for risk, asset availability, and reliability
What we're looking for;
Essential:
Technical background, preferably within the waste management industry
Business Acumen, Relationship Management & Effective Communication
Proven experience managing teams and leading others
Strong internal and external stakeholder management
IOSH Managing Safely
Mobile Plant Licence
Desirable:
NEBOSH Certificate
CMS
Level 3 Leadership & Management (or equivalent experience)
LGV Class 2
Risk Assessment qualification
