Job Overview
The Project Manager will lead technically challenging project(s) valued at circa £30m, or on larger projects, take responsibility for delivering a section of works. As a senior site leader, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of the project(s), including financial performance (with support from the QS).
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate all aspects of the Contract, Preconstruction, Design, Procurement, and Build functions to meet client expectations.
* Ensure work complies with standard operating procedures and the SISK HSEQS policy.
* Prepare and maintain the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and identify opportunities to add value and enhance profit.
* Develop project programmes, method statements, and submissions.
* Manage health, safety, and environmental plans and resources.
* Lead project team functions including risk management, financials, stakeholder management, and project close-out.
* Oversee design and subcontractor management, including BIM strategy delivery.
* Manage contracts and ensure compliance with design and build contracts such as JCT, NEC3, and standards like BREEAM/LEED.
Qualifications & Experience
* Typically, 7+ years’ experience in the relevant sector or delivery of 2-3 projects across different industries.
* Holistic end-to-end Programme Management experience.
* Commercial awareness, management skills, team building, and leadership capabilities.
* Academic or professional qualification in construction, ideally chartered.
* Relevant certifications: CSCS for Managers, SMSTS, CDM/PSCS.
Additional Skills & Knowledge
* Awareness of BBS, Root Cause Analysis, and other safety and quality tools.
* Planning, Temporary Works, Contracts Management, and PEP development.
