We are recruiting a full-time Reception Teacher for a Gateshead primary school with a strong focus on communication and language development.
About the role:
You’ll lead a Reception class where early communication, language skills, and social interaction are a key priority.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Delivering structured phonics and language sessions
* Supporting children with speech, communication, and interaction
* Using storytelling, role‑play, and discussion to develop confidence
* Working closely with support staff to meet individual needs
* Observing and tracking progress across all areas of development
* Creating a calm, language‑rich environment
