Responsibilities
* Work as part of a design‑led practice to deliver structural engineering services for small to medium size building projects (£10,000 to £8m).
* Run projects or parts of projects, ideally without supervision.
* Produce drawings (AutoCAD literate) and perform own drawing work.
* Design using all main construction materials; contribute to both new build and refurbishment projects.
* Provide design advice and collaborate with clients and colleagues to deliver quality engineering service.
* Contribute to knowledge in basement design; they have completed a substantial number of basement projects.
* Maintain excellent communication; all staff are client facing.
* Desire to pursue long‑term career opportunities in architecture and structural engineering.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum of 2 years of structural design experience.
* AutoCAD literate and able to perform drawing work.
* Knowledge of new build and refurbishment; able to design in all main materials.
* Interest in architecture and long‑term career opportunity.
* Live within sensible commuting distance of Croydon and have no visa restrictions.
* Excellent communication skills; client facing role.
* Party Wall surveying experience or willingness to undergo training is a bonus.
* Near Chartered status; nearing Chartered status is advantageous.
