Do you want to work with an incredible Company – then look no further… £12.35 - £12.60 Hourly pay React Care assistants must be level 2 in health and social care with full access to their own vehicle To undertake the role of a "react" care assistant for the react care packages, providing on call cover for HCL at all times for sickness/absence/holidays of Care Assistants across a range of localities and to provide short term care for customers discharged from hospital at short notice. The post holder will also support the delivery of care staff development by supporting on the job training, coaching and support in the workplace. · Provide home from hospital support to customers being discharged from hospital at short notice, ensuring they are safe and supported to reduce the risks of readmission into hospital. · Support the development of the Care Assistant workforce through delivery of on the job training, coaching and support. · Promote choice, involvement & independence of customers by supporting them to make their own decisions regarding their care and to meet their own goals and aspirations. · Shadow new Care Assistants, identifying individual training needs, providing coaching/mentoring support as appropriate. · Ensure customer care is delivered with dignity and respect and in accordance with the standards laid down within the Fundamental Standards of Care. · Ensure customers and their families are enabled to access other services to meet their needs, including signposting to additional services as appropriate. · Assist customers with personal care needs where necessary and appropriate for example getting up in the morning washing, dressing and toileting. · Administer Medication to customers where required adhering HCL’s Medicines Policy and procedures. · Prepare meals/snacks where necessary promoting good nutrition and hydration, ensuring good practice in food preparation and hygiene. · Comply with HCL policy on attendance at a customer’s residence using the electronic app access care · Act as an ambassador for HCL when representing the Company while undertaking your role. Ensure that the values and ethos of HCL are always upheld.
