Your responsibilities will include:
-Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons that meet a wide range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to complex learning needs
-Creating a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports learning, independence, and emotional wellbeing
-Teaching pupils in small class sizes, allowing for a more personalised and nurturing approach
-Developing and implementing EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and personalised learning strategies
-Assessing and tracking pupil progress, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps
-Adapting teaching methods and resources to suit individual learning styles and abilities
-Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external agencies to provide holistic support
-Supporting pupils’ communication, social skills, and independence development
-Using a range of strategies, including sensory approaches, structured routines, and visual aids, to support engagement
-Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers to create a supportive learning network
-This role provides the opportunity to make a genuine, lasting difference by helping pupils overcome barriers and reach their full potential.

The Settings
You may be placed in a variety of specialist and inclusive environments, including:
Special schools catering to a range of SEND needs
Resource provisions within mainstream schools
Specialist units for pupils with autism or complex needs
These settings offer supportive teams, excellent facilities, and a strong focus on pupil wellbeing and progress.

-Have experience working with pupils with SEND
-Are patient, nurturing, and adaptable in their approach
-Have a strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices
-Can effectively differentiate learning to meet diverse needs
-Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Are passionate about supporting and inspiring children with additional needs
