An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a prestigious private school in Peterborough. This is a full-time, temporary maternity cover position requiring a skilled teacher to deliver History lessons up to Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging, inspiring, and challenging students in a school that celebrates academic excellence and holistic development.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
2. Inspire a love for history and critical thinking through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
3. Monitor, assess, and provide feedback to ensure all students make exceptional progress.
4. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities related to History.
5. Work collaboratively with the SLT and colleagues to uphold the school’s commitment to excellence.
6. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching History up to KS5.
8. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching history.
9. Excellent classroom management skills with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
10. Ability to inspire and challenge high-achieving students.
11. A proactive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and the SLT.
