About the Role As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will take on a varied and highly rewarding position supporting pupils across different age groups and abilities. Responsibilities may include: Delivering planned learning activities and interventions Covering lessons in the absence of teaching staff Providing one-to-one and small-group support Assisting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural development Supporting students with autism and additional communication needs Encouraging confidence, independence, and engagement in learning Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff Helping maintain a calm, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment The setting supports pupils with a range of special educational needs including autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties, communication challenges, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
