Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Climate Control Systems Engineer to be based at our customer’s site in Gaydon.
Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
The Role:
The Current Quality Lead Engineer is the technical focal point for Climate control systems
quality issue resolution. They are responsible for interfacing with core team SMEs, problem
solving technical guidance, generic Quality issue management and process development.
Area of Responsibility
•Customer issue resolution delivery and problem-solving technical excellence using the
appropriate methodologies
•Lead issue resolution (AIMS & IQM) processes to ensure that all changes are implemented
robustly and support programme Quality objectives.
•Cross functional coordination of the Climate control quality deliverables to quality targets.
•Study of TGW and PR Aims and Leadership of PR Aims actions.
•Ensuring OEMs standards and Test procedures are updated in accordance with forward
Model Quality.
•Driving common approaches for tools, analysis techniques, processes and reports in order to
improve the quality team’s efficiency
•Technical analysis of customer issues using appropriate diagnostics tools
•Leader of customer issue identification processes and opportunities
•Responsible for Climate control systems quality and status reporting
•Identification and management through business processes of compliance and safety relate
issues
•Applying lessons learnt and best practices.
Knowledge / Experience
•Working knowledge of Climate control systems- HVAC systems and Climate Under bonnet
components.
•Strong people skills and the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills.
•Experience of meeting deadlines.
•Experience of applying a Scientific / logical approach to problem solving using the
appropriate methodology, e.g.8D & 6-Sigma DMAIC.
•Working knowledge of DFMEA process.
Desired:
•Degree in relevant engineering discipline or in associated subjects such as Mechanical,
Mechatronics etc.
•6-Sigma Green Belt.
•Experience of using data logging analysis tools, e.g. CANalyser (Added advantage)
