We are seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to help deliver our contract for the Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI) at SEGRO Logistics Park Radlett.
* Degreequalified, A levels &HNC (construction related)
* Good timemanagement & organisational skills
* Computerliterate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications(Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
* Experiencewithin a construction/engineering or similar background
* Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC3/NEC4)

Project Overview:
* Located at the former Radlett Aerodrome site inHertfordshire, SEGRO Logistics Park Radlett will deliver a state-of-the-artrail freight terminal complete with extensive distribution warehouses and over600 acres of enhanced green space.
* The development aims to shift freight transportation from road to rail,significantly reducing carbon emissions and road congestion.
* Construction is anticipated to take place over the next three years.
* The scheme also promises numerous community and environmental benefits,including biodiversity net gain, employment and training opportunities, andintegrated transport improvements.
Requirements:
* Provide support and advice to site staffon commercial issues within the Project(s)
* Encourageand develop a culture of commercial awareness within the team
* Ensurethe site team adheres to group procedures and governance
* Development,motivation & performance management of junior staff
* Delegationof appropriate work to junior staff, whilst maintaining accountability
* Preparationof internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.
* Preparationof Valuations/Applications for Payment with full supporting documentation inaccordance with the contract.
* Preparationof Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supportingdocumentation.
* Preparationand management of subcontract and material procurement schedules.
* Administrationof subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailedrequisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through toagreement of final accounts.
* Undertakethe contract administration, including change management and maintainassociated registers.
* Identifyingcommercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
* Utilisethe costing system.
* Usethe cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and externalrequirements.
* Measurementof quantities in accordance with the standard methods of measurement asrequired.
* Maintainsite records.
* Adhereto group procedures.
* Positiveengagement with Client equivalent position.
* Assistin the preparation of project final accounts
* Draftingof subcontracts including professional services.
* Identificationof insurance claims and understanding policy coverage.
* CashManagement including WIP control and cash flow production
* Undertakeany other work as required of you by your line manager
