The Role of a Commercial Business Partner (commonly known as Business Insights Business Partner) includes:

The entire finance team at Delice is highly commercially driven, providing opportunities to engage in various aspects of the business at multiple levels. Finance is central to Delice's entrepreneurial spirit and business operations.

We seek an exceptionally commercial candidate to join our Business Insights team at our Southall Head Office. Business Insights is entrepreneurial and dynamic, offering diverse daily challenges. This role involves driving the business forward through business partnering with the sales team and enhancing our Customer’s Journey. You will participate in fast-paced change projects, such as relaunching our Customer Concepts and the Delice Brands.

Reporting & Key Relationships of a Commercial Business Partner

Reporting to the Head of Business Insights, the Business Insights Business Partner will serve as a key partner to the sales team managing Retail, Out of Home, Catering, Wholesale, Distribution, and Multiples channels.

Other key contacts include Customers, Sales, Marketing, Hardware, and the rest of the Finance team.


Main Duties & Responsibilities of a Commercial Business Partner

The role involves promoting cross-functional collaboration to develop a balanced customer, cost, and cash-focused culture.

Responsibilities include:

* Supporting the Sales team across sectors with pricing, ROI maximization, forecasting, tenders, contract reviews, trade terms, and joint business planning.
* Driving profitability, growth, and cash improvements by analyzing trends and actions with the Head of Business Insights and Finance, including larger tenders with senior management.
* Leading meetings between finance and sales to ensure efficiency and effective communication.
* Supporting the Strategic Sector Pricing Strategy in collaboration with the Channel Team, Sales Director, and Marketing.
* Providing monthly sales performance insights and outlooks in collaboration with the Head of Business Insights.
* Utilizing market insights with the Marketing and Sales teams to develop tactical pricing strategies for market share growth.
* Exploring new financing and business models to increase market penetration.
* Developing relevant, timely, and accurate insight-driven commercial reports.
* Providing Excel and PowerPoint training to promote continuous improvement.
* Handling other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

* Enjoyment of a fast-paced, changing commercial environment.
* Graduate with a business/numerate degree or equivalent.
* At least 1 year of financial reporting or commercial finance experience with a value-added mindset.
* Part-qualified in ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
* Ideally background in FMCG, retail, or entrepreneurial fast-paced environments.


Knowledge and Skills

* Analytical with excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional planning and multitasking abilities.
* Proactive, independent thinker, capable of working solo or in teams.
* Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI.
* Strong knowledge of Excel and MS Office.
