Hays are seeking a dedicated Food Technology/Textiles Teacher for an innovative CAMHS hospital school, which provides education for young people aged 11–19 who are all currently out of mainstream schooling due to various social, emotional and mental health needs, and so need additional support when in school. They offer a nurturing environment where resilience, creativity, and wellbeing are paramount. The successful candidate will be able to deliver high-quality Vocational and GCSE-level courses across KS3–KS5 within a diverse, often vulnerable, student cohort.

Hours: Full-timeStart Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary, long term
Rate: Up to £190/day DOE
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging lessons on nutrition, food science, cookery & textiles
2. Adapt teaching for mixed abilities - from entry-level to GCSE/A-Level
3. Support SEMH/SEN learners in a hospital setting
4. Collaborate closely with CAMHS, therapists & multidisciplinary staff
Requirements:
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Food Tech & Textiles specialism
6. Teaching experience within secondary schools, ideally SEN/SEMH
7. Resilient,passionate, creative and adept at trauma-sensitive pedagogies
8. Excellent behaviour management, curriculum planning, and differentiation skills
