About The Role
As Service Lead - ICT & Digital, you will be responsible for leading and managing the ICT and Digital service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused ICT and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Leading a team of dedicated professionals to provide effective ICT and digital support to council services and customers
* Ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, systems and services
* Driving the digital transformation agenda, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
* Managing relationships with external suppliers and service providers
* Overseeing the delivery of ICT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
* Providing expert advice and guidance to senior management and elected members
* In addition to the above, you will work closely with the Service Director - Transformation, Customer & ICT to contribute to the overall leadership and transformation of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Extensive experience in ICT service delivery, with a strong understanding of current and emerging technologies
* Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
* Strong project management skills, with experience of delivering complex ICT projects
* Knowledge of digital transformation principles and practices
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
