Head of Assurance Location: Largely remote with travel to Manchester and Peterborough when required. As Head of Assurance, you'll take charge of designing, managing, and delivering the annual Assurance Plan across the group. You'll provide critical oversight on how effectively we're managing risks, meeting regulatory expectations, and ensuring positive outcomes for our customers. You will be a trusted advisor to the Board, Risk Committees, and Senior Executives, offering expert assurance insights and pragmatic solutions to improve our control environment. What You'll Be Doing Develop and deliver the Annual Assurance Plan Lead and manage a high-performing team of 3–4 assurance professionals Provide expert assurance reporting to executives and governance bodies Build strong relationships across the business to ensure effective risk oversight Collaborate closely with first and third-line assurance functions Support the Group CROs and Risk Director with strategic assurance initiatives What You'll Bring Essential: Experience within the insurance or financial services sector Understanding of FCA regulatory requirements Proven experience leading assurance or audit functions in complex environments Strong knowledge of regulatory and risk landscapes Ability to influence and communicate with C-suite and senior leadership Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking Strong people leadership and team development skills Why Join Us?
