The Role
The Associate Director will lead our team working on a major client’s Global Partnerships portfolio, focusing on motorsport & watersport PR and communications globally. You will oversee strategies, maintain high-level stakeholder relationships, and ensure integration across various properties including Golf, Cricket, and regional initiatives. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners will be key to developing impactful PR campaigns.
Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic leadership across sports portfolios, ensuring PR and communications alignment.
2. Collaborate with client’s in-house teams and global agency networks for cohesive messaging.
3. Develop partnership narratives and consumer-facing campaigns.
4. Build relationships with rights holders, ambassadors, and stakeholders in motorsport.
5. Manage activation platforms, content, and media amplification strategies.
6. Lead content creation and manage third-party suppliers.
7. Serve as the primary contact for communications requests, coordinating with rights holders and ambassadors.
8. Provide strategic support during on-site events and lead media management efforts.
9. Support internal communications to promote employee engagement and advocacy.
10. Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth.
11. Make strategic decisions within the PR and Communications team aligned with agency and client goals.
12. Contribute to long-term strategic planning with senior leadership.
13. Assist in business development and strategic initiatives at the London office.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with significant PR and communications experience in motorsport.
* Proven success leading PR strategies for major sports partnerships, especially in Formula 1, sailing, and motorsport.
* Extensive experience working with global rights holders and stakeholders in motorsport.
* Deep industry knowledge and understanding of media, sponsorships, and the motorsport ecosystem.

* Ability to build and manage senior-level client relationships.
* Strong industry relationships within motorsport media and journalism.
* Exceptional storytelling and media material development skills.
* Creative, strategic thinker with innovative campaign ideas.

* Experience executing integrated global PR strategies.
