Overview

Based on the Aintree site you will work alongside an existing Lead Therapist with operational management for the Dietetic and First Response Team as part of the Aintree Inpatient Therapy Service. The role requires working Monday and Tuesday’s, and providing cover across a 7‑day model of care alongside the existing Lead Therapist (0.6 WTE). You will report to a Head Therapist who leads the Aintree Inpatient Services. This post is open to registered Dietitians with experience in clinical leadership and nutrition support.


Responsibilities

* Work alongside the Lead Therapist and other therapy leads to provide clinical and operational support.
* Manage/support a small clinical caseload of complex nutrition support patients.
* Deliver service improvement initiatives and evidence‑based care within the 7‑day model.
* Engage and empower a diverse workforce through a coaching approach, ensuring effective communication and performance management.
* Lead operational planning, quality, safety and standard of care for the team.
* Implement and monitor clinical strategy, policy and governance, liaising with external bodies where required.
* Support the line‑management of Band 7 Clinical AHPs.


Required Qualifications & Experience

* First‑level professional registration with the NMC/HCPC.
* Clinical professional qualification: degree level or equivalent.
* Demonstrated post‑registration CPD, with progression towards a master’s degree.
* Post‑graduate training or management qualification (equivalent).
* Evidence of leadership development and experience as a clinical manager, including responsibility for clinical quality, people management and budget delivery.
* Strong communication skills, with experience of facilitation, mediation and coaching.
* Knowledge of NHS policy, regulatory policy and governance arrangements.
* Understanding and appreciation of diversity, equity and inclusion.
* IT literacy and competence with standard office software.


Desirable Skills

* Project management experience.
* Higher academic qualifications.
* Experience in strategic planning and operational improvement.
