About The Role
Our Electricians are responsible for maintaining high standards of maintenance, including Reactive, Planned Preventative, and Scheduled Maintenance Services supporting venues in the East Hub Geographical Area:
* Leeds First Direct Bank Arena
* Newcastle Utilita Arena
* Hull Connexin Live
* York Barbican
The role focuses on maintaining buildings, infrastructure, and equipment in compliance with statutory standards, approved codes of practice, and Building Engineering Systems Association SFG Schedules of Maintenance.
The Post Holder shall take ownership of the operation, maintenance, and service of all building services, infrastructure, and equipment to plan work/services that maximize reliability and availability, thereby maintaining environmental conditions and standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
* Work on low voltage electrical distribution systems and engineering equipment in arena and theatre venues.
* Undertake planned maintenance of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning control systems.
* Undertake Planned Maintenance and Testing of Life Systems – Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Standby Generators, and Uninterruptable Power Supplies.
* Testing, inspection, and fault finding of electrical equipment.
* Support minor new works or refurbishments and assist specialist contractors and sub-contractors in installations and refurbishments of building fabric, plant, systems, assets, and services.
* Support the development and use of a CAFM system to track and coordinate maintenance activities, including requests, updates, and record keeping.
* Supervise external contractors' work, ensuring safety and minimal impact on core activities.
* Promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure compliance with ASM Global policies, including risk assessments, incident reporting, and hazard vigilance.
Key Skills And Experience
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in Electrical Maintenance within the Commercial/Industrial sector.
* BS7671, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* BS2391, Electrical Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Please Note
The role requires full flexibility with travel around the hub locations, Monday to Friday, with possible evening and weekend work as needed.
