The Role As our Fundraising Trustee, you will take the lead on creating, shaping, and implementing a Fundraising Strategy. You will provide strategic oversight and expert, 'hands-on' guidance to diversify our income streams and ensure the charity's long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities Lead on creating, developing, and overseeing a robust fundraising strategy Advise and support the Board and volunteer team on income generation opportunities Identify and cultivate funding streams, including grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and campaigns Create and support applications to trusts, foundations, and funding bodies Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice Act as an ambassador for the charity, building networks and relationships that open doors What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is An experienced fundraiser with knowledge of diverse fundraising methods Strategic, proactive, and able to think creatively about income generation Familiar with the UK charity landscape and relevant regulatory frameworks Comfortable working collaboratively within a small, volunteer-run organisation Passionate about health, rare or under-recognised conditions, or patient advocacy Willing to actively contribute to Board discussions and decision-making Previous Trustee experience is welcome, but not essential. Time Commitment We hold quarterly virtual Board meetings and communicate regularly via email and online platforms.
