Role overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Property team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will assist on a variety of transactions and contribute to the continued success of our firm. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a great team within a thriving legal practice. We are looking for someone with experience in this role.
Key responsibilities:
* Open files and conduct initial due diligence.
* Assist the lawyers with a range of transactions.
* Preparing documentation such as contract packs, title and search reports under supervision.
* Prepare transfer and lease documents under supervision, routine correspondence and requisitions on title.
* Helping prepare files for exchange and completion and undertaking post completion matters, including Land Registry applications, SDLT returns and Companies House applications under supervision.
* Liaising with Clients, Solicitors and other professionals in person, on the phone and by email.
* Excellent client care skills and the ability to build good rapport.
* Assist with file closure.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet targets and uphold the firm's reputation for excellence.
Required qualifications and skills:
* Knowledge of Commercial Property, regulations, and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Proficient in case management systems and IT tools.
