Hours Mon/Tue/Wed 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm & Thu/Fri 8am-4pm or 8:30am-4:30pm 
Overtime available but not compulsory

 Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit a Welder/Fabricator to work for our client based in Ashington. Our client supports a wide array of sectors and due to unprecedented growth and company development, they are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

 THE ROLE 
 
You will be able to mig weld mild steel and stainless steel 
You will be able to tig weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium 
You will be required to use guillotine, bending machine, pedestal drills and grinders 
You will be able to measure and cut accurately 
You will be required to read and interpret drawings 
You will ensure that welding machines are operated using safe working practices 
Communication and team work skills are essential to this role and you will be able to demonstrate these 
As part of the Recruitment process applicants will be required to complete a weld test THE PERSON 
 
You will ideally have at least 3 years’ TIG Welding, MIG Welding and fabrication experience 
Detail orientated with excellent problem-solving skills 
A comprehensive understanding of, and commitment to the highest standards of Health & Safety in the workplace 
All employees must hold a valid UK driving licence, will be over 21 years’ old and subject to reference checks TO APPLY
