Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment, including block moulders, pre-expanders, hotwire cutters, conveyors, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
Carry out reactive maintenance promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
Conduct regular facility inspections, including but not limited to cooling tower, boiler, compressed air systems, and general plant infrastructure.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the sites maintenance management system.
Identify and report potential equipment failures or safety issues, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
Assist with machine upgrades, installations, and modifications as required.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site safety policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Qualifications Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled). Minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in plastics, foam, or a similar process industry.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with experience in electrical fault-finding and basic repairs.
Familiarity with boiler systems, cooling towers, and industrial utilities is highly desirable.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Capable of working independently or as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving approach

Support Zero LTA or accidents within the plant
Always wear the correct PPE for the work you are carrying out
Record any near misses.
Use the correct tools and techniques you need to be able to perform tasks safely, including lifting etc.
Assist the plant engineer in ensuring all equipment on site is safe and all relevant repair work and checks have been completed.
Ensure all people working within and around the machines zones are following all the Health & Safety rules including wearing PPE etc.
Shifts
3 Rotating shift pattern, 6am - 2pm / 10pm - 6am / 2pm - 10pm - night shift starts Sunday night.
