Location: Manchester / Bristol / Norwich / York / Leeds / Sheffield Actuarial Insurance Risk Manager - Salary circa £65,000 Are you experienced in Risk Management, Underwriting, Pricing, Finance and/or Capital and looking for a new challenge? Then the Insurance Risk Team are looking for someone like you that can join a varied, agile and visible team in driving and influencing the appropriate understanding and management of risks and opportunities across the insurance risk foundations within Aviva Insurance Limited's (AIL) UK general insurance entity. A bit about the job: Working across the business to support the Head of Insurance Risk and the Risk Business Partners, you will provide key expertise to identify, measure, oversee and partner the business on its risks and opportunities with a focus on the more technical aspects of insurance risk. This will include reviewing, challenging and providing opinions on underlying methodology and key assumptions; understanding and providing insight on the quality of the underlying data and the available management information behind pricing and underwriting, reserving, exposure management, reinsurance and capital management; and contributing to key risk reports. Supporting targeted deep dives on key risk themes is also a key aspect of this role. This role ultimately supports the AIL Chief Risk Officer to provide oversight across AIL, ensuring the continuing effectiveness of the Risk Management Framework. Skills and experience we're looking for: Risk, underwriting, pricing, finance and/or capital professional who is driven, curious, commercially minded and ready for a challenge. Actuarial, underwriting, data engineering or accounting qualifications preferred but not essential. Insurance industry experience is essential, familiarity with General Insurance markets would be preferable. Analytically minded with the ability to articulate difficult and complex issues precisely and concisely to senior stakeholders and decision makers. Proven ability to review and appropriately challenge material business decisions, taking ownership of issues and building collaborative relationships across the three lines of defence. Ability to "join the dots" to spot emerging trends, potential risks and opportunities to the business with a clear articulation of the impact these might have on key performance metrics.
