Reports to the Financial Reporting Manager

The purpose of this position is to carry out routine day-to-day accounting and administration on a portfolio of private equity investment funds under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.
What you'll be doing
* Assist with all aspects of accounting matters, including the bookkeeping of all transactions, and the preparation of quarterly reports and statutory financial statements
* Assist with the completion of investor, client and audit queries
* Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions
* Prepare drawdown and distribution calculations plus notices on an ad hoc basis when requested by clients
* Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of bookkeeping
* Prepare and input payments for routine expenses, investment transactions and distributions to investors
* Assist and support the induction, integration and training of Trainee staff
What we're looking for
* The candidate will be expected to be studying towards a relevant professional qualification (preferably having commenced ACCA Fundamental Skills level or ACA Professional level)
* Computer literacy skills are essential
* Sound technical financial services knowledge (to be support through the Aztec Academy)
* Some previous experience of training or mentoring junior staff is beneficial
