The Opportunity
We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Maths Lecturer who has experience in the delivery of GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths and English curricula to join our team.
What you will do?
The person appointed will be responsible for the planning and delivery of GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths and English curricula, which lead to high levels of achievement and positive progress. You will have a proven track record of excellent teaching that inspires and engages learners, with a keen desire to share your knowledge, take part in professional development and collaborate with your colleagues in order to improve the learner experience. You will hold a relevant teaching qualification and a Maths and / or English specialism or be willing to work towards these.
As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for student learning, curriculum development, pastoral care, and administration. Sharing your skills and knowledge, you will develop and maintain high levels of student retention and attendance. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons in Maths and English, develop and update curriculum materials, and provide pastoral care and support to students, fostering a positive learning environment. You will monitor and improve student retention and attendance rates, assess student progress and provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department's performance.

This is a permanent, full-time post working 37 hours per week. The starting salary will depend upon an individual’s level of qualifications and experience.
This post attracts a recruitment and retention premium meaning the salary is up to £38,948 per annum as a result of market conditions.
