This Primary School believes every child should be heard, understood, and supported to reach their full potential. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Practitioner to join this inclusive school community and make a real difference in the lives of students with communication and additional learning needs.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a valued member of the team, you will:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with speech, language, and communication challenges.
* Assist with students’ physical, emotional, and social well-being, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn.
* Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning activities to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
* Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and a growth mindset across the classroom and playground.
* Use your skills to identify early signs of communication or learning difficulties and contribute to individual support plans.
* Enhance your professional development with free accredited online courses through The CPD Academy.
Who You Are:
* You are compassionate, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine desire to help children succeed.
* You have recently graduated with a Speech and Language Therapy degree (or similar) and are eager to start your career in education.
* You understand the unique challenges students face in school, and you’re committed to supporting their development.
* You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.
* You are passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives and helping them develop confidence, independence, and self-expression.
