Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong background in culinary arts, and the ability to manage a busy kitchen environment. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for menu creation, food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained.
Responsibilities
* You will be required to work 5 days over 7 covering a combination of split and straight shifts. You will be working 40 hours (approx.) per week. Half an hour unpaid break allowed on each shift.
* Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
* Monitor food production processes to ensure quality control and consistency.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Skills
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Proven leadership abilities to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Excellent understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
* Must possess the relevant catering qualifications and in-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
* DBS check required.
* Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining cost efficiency in food production.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing kitchen operations efficiently.
