We are looking for a
Programme Manager to take direct responsibility for leading on several elements of the Children’s Surgery Outcome Reporting (CSOR) programme, working closely with the CSOR programme lead and the database programmer to ensure smooth delivery and day-to-day delivery of the existing elements of the programme, as well as successful delivery of the programme’s expansion. Key responsibilities will include maintaining the database’s existing functions, overseeing case recruitment, managing communications with clinicians and parents, handling third-party research requests, and ensuring compliance with ethical and data protection standards. The postholder will coordinate activities within participating hospitals, working with investigators, clinicians, informatics teams, and research departments, and provide training on using the CSOR portal and dashboard. Other key duties will involve managing the hospital feedback programme by coordinating data analysis, producing reports, and organising feedback meetings with experienced facilitators. To be considered for this role you will have a first degree (or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject), experience in co-ordinating complex multi-site programmes or projects, the ability to line manage staff, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should also have a good command of spoken and written English. Desirable qualifications include project, programme management, or business administration credentials. Knowledge of NHS paediatric and/or surgical services is a plus. Applications for flexible working arrangements are welcomed and will be considered in line with business needs.
